If I go up hill or if I try to step on the gas too hard my car chugs as if it were running out of gas, and then it stalls. I put it into park, restart and Im good to go again. It runs well until I try to go on a trip out of town or go too hard on the gas. Is it a sensor, or lock up or something? Or fuel filter??

Chances are the fuel pump is going bad or the fuel filter is plugging. I would start by checking fuel pump pressure and volume to make sure it is producing what it should.

Here is a how to for checking fuel pressure:

Let me know what you find.
