Hi. I own a 1996 chevy 4x4 1/2 ton[hi mileage] and have recently developed a problem. As soon I get to approx. 80 kph I am getting a vibration that you can feel in the floorboards. Once I hit approx.100kph it stops but will start up again over 110 kph. It only causes this vibration when I am accelerating. If I take my foot off the gas pedal it stops completely so I have ruled out a tire problem. Seems to be something torque related. Driveline components all ok, fluid levels ok. I was thinking along the lines of possibly a suction problem in the trans. Filter causing air to be suspended in the ATF. That or an unbalanced driveshaft for some reason. Any body heard of this happening before or have any other ideas?

thanks, bob77

I'd be looking at the drive shaft area if you are feeling it in the floorboard and dont think it is coming from up front. Could be a bad u-joint or the driveshaft itself.
