Electrical short in tail lights of 1992 Chevy G20 van

I have a electrical short in the running lights of my 1992 chevy G 20 van. Where is the best place to start looking.

You can start at the light or the fuse box, whichever is easiest to get to. Check for tight connections and undamaged wire. Check your resistance to ground. That should give you a good starting point.
