I have a 1999 chevy astro van, 175,000 miles. My a/c did blow fairly well on low and med. But will shut off if placed on high. We replaced the blower motor, the fan speed control knob and the blower resister without sucess. It did with each new item replaced blow on high for a few minutes, and then it would shut off again. It still blows very little air on low and medium. Any suggestions [/b]

Behind the A/C dash assembly there is a brown wire that leads to the blower resister. It has a black connector that will often get hot and burn so you will loose voltage. Check it out and let me know.

Also the blower motor resister has a plug wire that fits in it. It has about 6 to 8 diffrent wires going into a plug on it (under the hood) that goes into the resistor, one of those on the plug part has been burnt could that be the problem should we replace that plug in?

By all means repaece the plug. Get one from a salvage yard and splice it in.
