Engine Performance problem
1997 Other GMC Models V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 215,77 miles
I just put a rebuilt 355 GMC in my suburban. It boggs, then surges with power all at once. Then it dies, restarting good, then after a matter of minutes, dies again. Can you help me? New fuel pump,distributor,pick-up coil inside distributor, rotor,i've replaced everything. FRUSTRATED!

try cleaning the throttle body plate. this is the cause of alot of problems on cases like yours . Spray some choke cleaner on itndwipe with a rag on both sides. Ifit is a TBI unit then start the vehicle up and clean it while idling, it will tend to stall out so make sure to do it slowly. then if it also is a TBI, check te vacuum hose to teh map sensor and see if it is soft or collapsed. If it is replace it...
