1996 Other GMC Models Car door will not open from inside

The door became hard to open from the inside. It is now able to be opened from the outside. It is the left driver door.

I believe the bushings that support the door are part of the problem. I do not know how to get inside the door to look at the possibility that the door handle may be part of the problem.

Thank you for any help you may provide.

Your problem is most likely the rod thrat runs from the inside handle to the lock assembly. You will need to remove the door panel, you can purchase a tool toassist in removing the clips that hold the panel also you will need to check and remove screws at the arm rest and bottom of door. Inside the door check for anything binding the rod and you will need to replace the plastic retainer that holds the rod tothe lock or handle these are available at most auto parts stores.
