I have a 1988 Motorhome with a 454 Chev engine. The mileage is 70,000. I know that in a motorhome these engines have a tendancy to run hot.
The temperature guage ranges between 200 and 220 on a really hot day. I have been told by my mechanic he believes the guages to be off by 20 degrees. I have new coolant, new thermostat (165 degree thermostat) and a new radiator. Do I have a problem running at 200 to 220? Thanks Mike

With correct anti freeze you should not have much of a problem, If you tow a car or any vehicle then it will get hotter. You can have a mechanical temperature guage installed to give you a more accurate reading. Make sure the radiator does not have any thing blocking the air flow through it.
