When I turn the key to get it out it will not turn all of the way. It will not come out and my battery goes dead

The key will not come out with a dead battery. You will need to install a new battery. The key should come out when your jimmy has power.

Check the shifter switch if the truck dosent know its in park it will not give you the key you may have to replace the shifter
