2000 GMC Jimmy V6 Two Wheel Drive Manual 127000 miles

My 2000 GMC Jimmy will drive fine for awhile then starts to sputter and stall out. Then I let it sit for about 10 minutes and its fine but after about an hour it does it again can you please tell me what this could be. I think it has something to do with the fuel pump cause it constantlly makes noises like its not getting any gas cause it hums all the time
