The button for the back hatch quit working. Makes noise, doesn't unlatch. ( How do I take off the inside panel of the hatch to repair it). The window won't open and you can't open the door if the window won't open. Thanks!

You climb in the back. There is usually enough room between the plastic and the glass to reach in with a pick and trip the window latch. It just pushes down.

Once you have it open you will probably find that the small end tab broke off the lever. Not hard to replace it. One thing you may want to do while you have it apart. I make up a short cable that can reach from the window latch down and out into the back area. That way if you want to open the glass from inside you can easily. You could also add a small handle for it on the inside.

If you don't have the room you can trim away a bit of the plastic until you do.
