1997 GMC Jimmy wont start getting fuel to the 2 lines behin

this is the vortec engine right? or is it a throttle body injected engine? does the check engine light come on when the key is in the run position?

i think its the throttle body but not sure it is the original engine if that helps it is the s15 jimmy the check engine light does come on but goes bk off at the normal time it only lights up when u first turn the truck on as with all the other dash lights

there is a huge difference between the two so just to make sure we are both on the right page look at your vin number and give me the eigth digit. it should be a z or w or x

truck is at the shop with all my information however after googling i have a throttle body this pic is identical to what engine is in the truck

ok that is what i thought it was. your truck has 6 injectors under the plastic housing that the throttle body sits on. you need to or have them check for injecotr pulse which is having them check for power at each injector and a flashing ground pulse from the computer. most likely the computer is not firing the injectors for some reason. does your theft light on dash come on and then flash or does it just go out. also does the check engine light come on with the key in the run position?

they check engine light just comes on at begining of start up and goes back off the alarm however is weird on this truck if they key is left in the ignition or iof the truck is not locked u can not just start the car up you have to lock and then unlock the doors again in order to start the truck half the alarm system doesnt work though such as the horn part

dos the theft light blink or does it go out?

the theft light on the dash with the check engine and all goes out after a few secs the aftermarket theft light in dash/window flashes continueously

this is a little more complicated that ordinary and is not easy for a skilled tech to figure out, you must start by checking for power at the fuel injectors then check for a flashing ground trigger for them and find out what is missing.
