1996 GMC Jimmy stalls out

My Jimmy runs fine when it is cold. When it runs for about 5 minutes and gets warmed up it stalls out and has no power to it feels like it is running out of gas. Fuel pump is fine. And it seems like the alternator gets hot fast it is a second brand new one in it. What could it be?
