1995 gmc jimmy no start

I have a 95 jimmy 4.3 automatic. Yesterday it quit and the fuel pump fuse blew. Replaced fuse and truck ran fine. Today it quit again but fuse didn't blow but now truck cranks but won't run and the lights in the cluster that light up when you turn key on don't light up like its not sending a signal to turn on fuel pump and ignition to fire but cranks over fine and all other accessories are working. Any suggestions. Thanks

I found the problem with my jimmy. It was in the ignition switch plug. One of the contacts was burn't. Went to a junk yard and got one out of a junk truck.
