Our Jimmy was sputtering while I was driving it, and even more so as I started to slow down. We took it to get worked on and was told it was the EGR Valve. It was replaced and was running great for about a month. Not it is sarting to do the exact same thing. I have heard that if the battrie is not unpluged before the EGR Valve is put it will need to be replaced in a bout a month. Is this ture or what?

I never heard that but that is rule of thumb in a mechanics work, to always remove the negative cable before doing anykind of work, I dont care if it is changing an air filter. Change your pcv valve, and the egr may just need to be cleaned.
