hey I just had a friend give me a 1984 gmc jimmy and I dont need a key to start it I just turn the ignition. I do not know what to repair so can you tell me what I need and a price range, thanks alot.

I would say u would just need a new switch sounds like everything works except switch isnt quite right so may just be switch. Or even more I should say lock cylinder if u dont need a key piece in switch that key goes in try that.
