Engine Cooling problem
2004 GMC Canyon 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My truck has been running hot, and took it to a GMC dealership. They replaced thermostat, (2) fan clutches, radiator and water pump in that order. None of these fixed the problem and they gave me my truck back and said they were stumped and good luck after I paid for parts but since they didn't fix the problem I wasn't charged for labor. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

First thing get or have someone usea n infrared thermometer to make sure it's running hot. Then have the engine pressure checked. You might have a head gasket going bad. Also there'sa good possiblility that you've lost ground and the gauge is reading hot but it really isn't. One other thing, but you wouldn'tknowthis until your head comes apart is that the red antifreeze if not filled correctly will gell up inside the engine block andthere will be no cooling around the cylinders. That is a rareity though.
