Shifting Problems

I own a 1997 K1500 4X4 Chevrolet Truck 71,000 Miles, with a manual transmission. My problem is I recently had the Master cylinder replaced, slave cylinder replaced, clutch and throw out bearing.I am having trouble getting the shifter into reverse from neutral it just wants to grind, but it does not do it if you go from 3rd, etc to reverse. Truck is not in motion, and I've made sure to have my clutch firmly pressed to the floor. Any ideas?

PS - Shifting in all the other gears is just fine.

I had the same problem on older cars, like a 67 elcamino I had, was told it was a synchronizer thing. That if I hit another gear before shifting into reverse this would not happen. And it didn't. I would guess that if you would just stick it in another gear first, you don't even have to let out on clutch, you won't be grinding anymore. Just takes a sec. To do and no hassle compared to having gears replaced. Good luck.
