2000 GMC C1500 Electronic flasher keeps clicking

Yesterday the electronic flasher started clicking on my pickup even after completing the turn. The blinker switch goes back into the neutral position and the lights stop blinking but the flasher relay continues to click away. At first it was intermittently but now it seems to do it almost continuously.

Any suggestions?

Replace the flasher. If no help, inspect wiring to flasher, may have short in wiring.

I have already replaced the flasher and it made no difference.

If flasher is good then suspect faulty multi-function switch (turn signal switch).
