I am replacing the passenger (right) side drive axle assembly on a 92 Geo Storm. How do I remove the differential side joint housing from the transaxle?
The instruction sheet that came with the new axle says to pry it off, but I am getting no where. Any Tips?

There are two types of inner joints, one type looks mostly round, you can just grab the axle and yank it out with that one, the other is a tri-pod or trilobal type, you cannot pull that one, you have to get between it and the tranny with a couple pry bars and force it out, it can be stubborn, make sure you press straight out, not upwards or sideways any, there is a circlip inside that has to compress and slide out of a groove. Good luck, as they have caused a few bad words to exit my mouth in the past.
