1991 Geo Prizm Car won't start.

I just started my car, backed up a couple of feet, then the engine quit. It won't start again. The lights work, so I don't think that it is the battery. The gas tank is full.

Remove the timing belt cover and inspect the timing belt, see if it is broke.

If OK, then check spark. If no spark, I would suspect an ignitor, which is in the dist. And can be removed and tested.

If spark, is OK then check fuel pressure. On these models, you need a special adapter. Remove the cold start valve and screw in adapter to fuel rail, connect other end to fuel pressure tester.
