The ignition switch, the starter, and the key cylinder have all been replaced. The car will not start with the key; however, it will start if a wire is run from the starter and connected to the battery.

Check for voltage at solenoid switch with key to start. Car on stands.

If no voltage, then check two main fuse boxes, look at fuseable links "engine main", CDS, but check all links in fusebox.
You can sometimes find these entire boxes at junkyard, they are handy to have, since you can only get them (usually) from Toyota and they are expensive. Look for 90-92 Geo Prizm, Toyota Corolla.

If voltage, then starter may be bound, or flexplate loose in bind.

Most likely it is a fuseable link or possibly wiring to it.
