Conditions:
Eats about 4quarts of oil a week.
Cant find leak. Even used dye. Coolant never lowers
Oil is never milky. Dark, but looks normal.
A rocker arm broke 4 months ago. The guy replaced
it. When I got it back, the oil looked very fresh and
didn't go down for about a week. Then, boom. All
the oil was gone and was turning black when replaced
Loses power going up hills
spark plug 1, 3, 4 very white. Already changed twice
spark plug 2 keeps fouling and clogged once
White smoke sometimes from exhaust
bad gas milelage
car wasnt starting when hot and started to shut
off when driving. Turned out to be bad fuel
injector and replaced.
Water pump went out a couple months ago. Replaced.
Starter went out a month ago. Replaced.

A rebuild from a reputable mechanic wanted $2000, doesnt seem worth it.

I know it sounds stupid by now, buy I would like to TRY and get it running. Finances arent that great. Could the cheaper valve job fix it?

thanks, dan

I WANT TO TRY AND FIX IT. WHERE DO YOU THINK THE OIL LEAK IS? THERE WAS ALWAYS A SMALL OIL LEAK (ABOUT 1 QUART EVERY 300 MILES) SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 04.. AND WHERE DO YOU THINK THE POWER PROBLEM IS? I WAS HOPING FOR FOR DIRECT MECHANICAL ADVISE TO THE PROBLEM. I WANT TO FIX THE OIL LEAK AND LOW POWER UPHILLS. Thanks again.

HI there,

Thank you for the donation,

Just doing the top end can cause more problems with oil consumption, this puts stress on already weak rings, I think it's time to send it to the big garage in the sky.

I guess a $10 donation gets a $10 answer.

I draw your attention to the highlighted section of your text, for my money you answered your own question here, if cost is in any way a concern don't pore money into this car, put it towards an upgrade, there is a time when you just have to say enough is enough, from your post it was clear to me that you already had come to that point and that you only needed some reassurance that you were heading in the right direction, hence my to the point reply.
