3 cylinder.

I have recently purchased a 96 geo metro 1.0. I'm having an intermittant problem that I thought was related to TPS, changed it set it and it seemed to work fine, but started again. It gets to the point where it is not drivable. Items that have been replaced or checked are:

EGR Valve replaced
TPS replaced and set
vacuum hoses replaced
spark plugs replaced
distributor cap replaced
fuel filter replaced
fuel pressure checked and was in spec
crank shaft sensor replaced
cleaned carb body
changed oil\filter. 5w30 mobile one
checked compression all within spec on high side and not more than 5 apart. Don't remember what they were now.
ran gas treatment lucas. Burned 2 tanks of gas at least.
coasting down the road with clutch in it revs up and down up and down without any pressure on gas peddle. Was getting EGR code PO400 until cleaning EGR passage way with sea foam and screw driver. I now have no codes. I have $250 scanner to check things with. I currently don't have any check engine lights.

all of the above were done after purchasing car. Person sold it for this reason.

I would be greatful for any help on this matter.

thanks,

I do remember that it did something distinct with the head lights were changed. Unfortunatly haven't been at it for a while. I do believe that it surges when they are turned off when at a stop. It could be the other way around though. As far as the AC goes, the ac is dead and is not ran. Was told the clutch was out.

Could be Electric Load Diode Module behind left center dash taped to harness. Sends signal to ECM to idle up when elect. Load. Also maybe AC idle up solenoid on throttle body fine and disconnect or remove. Both can cause imtermittent idle problem.
