The hood support rod is attached to the body with a special plastic clip that snaps through a square hole and allows the support rod to raise and lower. When it is lowered, the rod snaps into a holder which is mounted to the body in a similar fashion. My problem is two fold. First, the clip that holds the rod on to the body has been pulled out and the barbs that are supposed to hold the clip in place were broken off. The second problem is the holder is missing. Now, I assume I can locate these items in a wrecking yard, but I do not know how to remove them without breaking the barbs. Any help would be appreciated.
