Replaced GEM now speedometer is not working properly

I recently replaced my GEM and when I went to test drive it my speedometer shot up to 100 mph when I was only going about 10 mph. What would make it do this?

It has to be programmed to your car by a mechanic that is why. Check locally for prices.
