The engine management fuse in my car keeps blowing as soon as I put one in. It is a 7.5 fuse.

Something is shorted out ether a component or wire. You can get a bulb test light and hook it across where the fuse goes. It should light up bright then you can move wires around and unplug things to see if the light dims or goes out to narrow down where your problem is.

Would the component be run by that particular fuse? Is there any way to narrow down my search?

The engine management fuse controls the heater blower, gauges, radiator fan, and the power wire that runs from the alternator to the switch. Where would I begin troubleshooting? The fuse will work for a very short amount of time then blow. I have a light tester.

It could anywhere that fuse feeds power to. Use your light tester across the fuse slot that keeps blowing with the key in the "run" position? Let me know if the fuse is bright dim etc.

It glows bright when you first put it in If it does not blow immediately. Other times it may not blow for up to thirty minutes. Thank you for helping.

That number in the inside fuse box is the electronics fuse. I posted a picture that tells what it powers. I would start unplugging components while watching the test light to see how it affects the light.
