Can't locate fuse or relay to check why pump not operating. Starter turns engine over, but fuel pump doesn't have the characteristic "click-click-click" it does when it primes up.

This has a right and left fuel pump check wires first to see if either one is getting power then go to the fuel changeover valve and see if that has power or is sending it to either one then check your fuses. If you are getting power to pump then it may be either the points inside it or the pump has failed. You can get an electronic unit that su makes and bolts right in. It will still give the clicking sound that you may desire to have. Or if you have points and don't want to mess with it I think in Rick AStley's MGB wiring it shows how to switch it to electronic to get rid of points. It's about $50 U.S. He aslo has one about Brit car wiring.
