My 95 Ford Esscort (low miles) shut off on the road and wont start. Engien, wont start, turns over with visable spark form plug wire when pulled off and checked next to valve cover. Checked fuel pressure valve at engein in-take area with screwdriver(to open valve) while starting, shoots out 8 inches when opened. And fuel reset button in back trunk was checked. Turns over but no start up. What can I check next?

Looks like the distributer shaft is not their so just a place to plug the spark plug wires. I will have to wait till tomorow to do carb clean method. I looked at timing belt. It does not turn while engine start is attempted. Also some ware on out side of belt and alt, water pump, AC, etc belt is glazed and cracking. I will replace tomorow also. Thanks for the help. Will you be around tomorow?

if the belt is not turning that may very well be your problem. some motors it won't hurt crank with a busted belt but on other it could bend the valves.that is one one of the reason i wanted to know what motor it was.also even know it sprays a lot of fuel out it don't really me there is enough pressure to make it start(NOS) 8)
