My Windstar is runnig horribly. Originally the problem started sitting at a stoplight. Engine vibrarted badley and then idled low and died. Got the car started and limped it home. The codes were showing that the IAT senor had failed and cyl 2 and 6 misfired. I replaced the IAT/MAF and the car ran and started better but still idled low and died whenever under a load. Cyl 2and 6 misfire codes still there. I then replaced the plugs and wires(front side were burned bad and back side looked good but were very oily) which did not change a thing. Could the coil be causing the problem? Is there a way that I can test it?

Both 2 and 6 are on the same coil cicuit, try checking the spark from those two, and test the connector.

I would remove plug wire on 2 and check to see if it has spark. If not then your right, replace the coil. Get back to me

Thanks guys! The coil fixed the problem. It also was much easier to do after I read someone elses post about removing the wiper mount plate. Runs smooth as silk now! I will definetley keep donating and asking questions.
