My car makes a humming noise that gets louder (at times) when I turn.? I have enough power steering fluid.

I also have trouble when go to turn my car on. At times it wants to stall so I have to give it more gas then the idle will go down and then up again. Whats that problelm?

I have noise (Rattling)coming from the front of my car especially when I go over pot holes.

The power steering pump is the likley source of the noise. When you turn the pump works harder and can make the whine. Fords are more apt to sound noisy but there may be a problem deeper in the system. A possible partial restriction, internal failure of the rack etc. PRessures can be checked at various points to see if there is a pressure problem in the system.

The hard start may be a dirty IAC or Dirty MAF sensor. Sometime they can be cleaned and restore their functions. I would first see if there are codes stored in the computer before diving into this diagnosis. IF codes are present, we can save some troubleshooting time most likley.

For the rattles in the front, I would first check for stabilzer links that may be loose or broken as well as the sway bar (broken?) And sway bar bushings for looseness.

What is IAC? Should I replace both of these or clean them? My brother in law used a little computer code reader and found no problems. What do you think I should do next?
