#%*%&$ Car won't Start!

Thanks for the tip about the 2 bolts on the steering column shifter. (91 tourus wouldn't go into park)

My Windstar has a simular problem. It goes into park but won't start, to start it I've had to pull the shifter up and back to the "magic spot" to get it to start and the other day it didn't work at all.

After reading your reply to the Tourus I checked and found the loose bolts.
I just tightened them finger tight (on lunch hour) but still no luck.

My question, Is there anything else I should look for if this doesn't work?

Well, still no go.
My theory is that I have broken the "switch" that is activated when the shifter is in the park postion by pulling on it over and over when I started it.

Does this sound pausible?

Thanks for your help.
It turned out to be the Solanoid
It's back on the road and better than it was before.

This website is great.
I'll be back.
Thanks again
