Ok, so, the van we just bought has been sitting for almost a year and a half and was running when it got parked. We replaced the battery, the terminals, the distributor coil pack, the spark plugs, the wires, and even replaced a fuel line... the fuel filter and put new gas in it, and when we turn the key over, it won't start! IT turns over, but no fire!?! PLEASE HELP! This is our first vehicle in almost five years of not being able to afford one.. Please help! The spark plugs have fuel on them and there's fuel getting to the engine, we can see and smell it.. but why no fire? Is there a relay switch or something? We don't have a manual and someone tore the fuse box cover off!! HELP PLEASE! The fuel pump works, we can hear it humming... Any ideas why it wouldn't start after a year and a half of not moving at all?
We also took out the crank shaft sensor because it was covered with oil and dirt! Could that make it not start?
