2000 Chevy Silverado engine cranks while key in run position?

key off ok. key in run and start position engine cranks. have to remove relay to get it to stop cranking once engine is running. switched relays, still does it. could it be solenoid/starter or ignition switch?

sounds to me more like a starter relay problem, replace the relay and that should fix it. Here is the location. Check out the images (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

thanks for your response. only happens when vehicle running til hot. new ignition switch. same problem. new starter/solenoid. same problem. intermittent, only when at operating temp. sometimes ok for few minutes, then starter will just engage while driving. I removed the relay then get a new one, all fixed!
