When I turn the key the dash lights come on and all electricl devices work just fine but when I turn it to the start position nothing happens.

Hi:
Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for voltage to the small wire on the starter. If there is power, replace the starter. If there is no power, you will need to have the ignition switch checked.
