Engine Mechanical problem

how much money would it cost to rebuild this engine? would it cost less to buy one or take it in and have it rebuilt?

If it was me I'll start fresh and get a remanufactured one and then deal with the tranny later on.

approximatly how much does that cost?

I would say between $2K -2500 not too sure -shop around
