1972 Ford Torino backfires and loss of power
Engine Mechanical problem
1972 Ford Torino V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 39673 miles
i was drive normally at 50 then when i got to 55 it backfired twice then lossed all power then the power decreased til eventually it would only idle and died every time i hit the gas please help

What type of ignition and fuel system do you have?

single point fuel pump on the side of the engine

Check the fuel pump's pressure and vacuum, also the carb's accelerator pump,main metering and power valve circuits.
