My 1997 Tbird has no light and engine not cranked. Battery was checked ok. Before this happens, the emergency light went on continously. When I turned the emergency light off (push the emergency switch to the off position), it went off for a few hours and went on blinking again. There was a clicking sound coming from the trunk in the rear driver side. What could the problem be? Thanks. bs_mau.

Hello, my first thought is maybe the theft system is causing a problem? As far as the clicking in the trunk, I don't know unless it is the inertia switch?

A mobile mechanic came and replaced the emergency (hazard) unit on the steering wheel, and that fixes the problem. Thanks for your reply. I still don't know how the clicking sound was coming from the gas unit in the trunk but it was also stopped after the hazard unit was fixed.
