1991 Ford Thunderbird Car dies in drive at stop signs

91 sc 3.8 harmonic balancer went out replaced it then got it back and car runs strong except when you come to a stop sign car idles down then starts to idle rough and dies mech said needed tune up that did not help

You know it seems, when a car is not running correctly, the first thing these people cry is tune up. That may have been the case on a 1976 nova. But these cars are all electronic now. Now that I have that off my chest.(Thanx for listening). The first thing your gonna want to check is your Idle air control valve this is what gives your engine the air it needs when idling or coming to a stop (while your foot is not on the throttle). So your gonna want to check/replace this sensor. And get back to me if you have anymore problems
