1994 Ford Tempo Headlights

The moment high beams are turned on, headights go off, when I turn high beams off they will come back on. Occassionally the low beams will flicked off. This may not happen for months and then will happen several times in one night and then not happen again for along time?

Sounds like your high beam switch is malfunctioning.I cant recall right now where it is located in steering column. It is either in the upper steering wheel assembly or farther down toward floor and in that case it is actuated by a small long metal rod. And would be easier to change/adjust down there.I will edit this post if I find more information.
