When I start my car, after a few seconds it will make a repetitive chugging noise. If I put my foot on the gas the car will rev for a minute then drop down again and start to make that chugging noise again. When I come to stop in my car and I am in drive the chugging will start back up and my car will jolt like it is trying to lunge forward. If I put the car in neutral, it will cease to lunge, but it will still chug. Sometimes when the car is sitting at a red light for too long, when I start to move again the car will not accelerate as fast and will sputter as I accelerate, then leading to the car to stall out. Once the car has stalled, and I restart it the sputtering stops, but it still will chug when not in motion.

Check and test all the following below:

Oxygen sensor
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)
Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
