With or without using the brakes? Letting completely off the gas or not? When was last tuneup? What color are plugs. Is it sudden stall or sputtery?

While driving and no brakes just let off the gas and it idles for a minute and dies

same with the first start of the day you have to crank it for a while when it finally turns over and is started you got to put it in gear and drive or it will hesitate start shaking and die if you try to pump the gas pedel it backfires and still eventualy dies im thinking its the fuel pump egr valve or the ignition timing unit

Well, sounds like it's either a spark related problem or a mixture related problem. Timing is computer controlled. What color are the plugs? If they are whitish your too lean for some reason. Causing popping/baxkfire. The IAC valve is also known to be tempermental on these cars. It gets dirty or just fails. My grandaughter had an intermittant fast idle problem and it was just the electric plug to the IAC. It had turned greenish cause the car had sat for awhile. If your pump is weak this may also cause problems. It's under the back seat under the middle hump. I take a chisel and cut a hole to access it rather than drop tank. Neat trick! Be sure to make replacement cover so fumes cant get in.
