is the starter turning the engine over? or is nothing happening when you turn the key to start position. no noticeable noises at all? you may want to remove and clean the battery posts? how old is the battery? try starting car in neutral instead of park.

when you turn key to start, you hear a click under the hood? if you let go of key (dont turn it backwards) and then turn to start again, you hear the click again? if so, sounds like your starter is either bad or the connections are loose/corroded. the click you hear is the starter selinoid located on top of inner fender on drivers side.
