Noises problem
1992 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my ford tempo is making a noise from the pulley system, I have changed the tensioner pulley thinking that was it but it still rattles really bad could it be the idler pulley? It only makes the noise when I am at a stop

Did you solve yet?You can try and pinpoint cause by using a tube such a vacuum cleaner wand to listen to each thing you suspect. You have 2 idler pulleys on car.1 way down under on water pump belt and the other you say you have changed, the main spring hinged serpentine tensioner?If you have air the compressor pulley can be noisy since it is an electric free wheeling clutch assy. Sometimes the water pump can be noisy or the alternator also.
