My Low Coolant indicator is on, but the coolant level is perfect. I have checked and don't see any leaks. All coolant levels are correct and my temperature guage shows a normal temperature.

What causes the low coolant indicator to come on? A sensor must exist somewhere in the car.

This is a Taurus 6 Cyl - DOHC - 24V engine.

Thanks for your help.

Looks like the low level warning sensor is in the bottom of the radiator coolant recovery resevoir. They sit down in the bottom collecting crude until they read bad. You might be able to remove it, clean it, and have it work til the next time it gets crudy. Or just replace it. Should fix your problem.
