Brake failure in 199 Ford Taurus

Ford 1999 Taurus, mileage 84, 21, 4 cyclinder? CAn you have barake failure in a 1999 Ford Taurus and not see any leaking brake fluid. I just had it inspected last week and was told it had a slow leak in the power steering and oil pan. My son just cwrecked the Taurus into the back of my other car

Yes you certainly can. A master cylinder that is bad can have an intermittant no pedal situation. If you had a brake leak repaired recently, that master cylinder could have been damaged if the pedal had dropped to the floor already. In some instaces an ABS problem can cause a weak braking problem.

Should keep the brake fluid clean.
