My car stalls when I'm driving. I know I have a cracked belt tensioner. Would this cause my car to cut off.

Possible causes of engine stall:
1. Idel speed incorrect.
2. Fuel filter clogged or water and dirt in the fuel system.
3. Emmision system components faulty.
4. Faulty or incorrect gapped spark plugs. Also check plug wires.
5. Vacuum leak at the intake manifold or vacuum hoses.
6. Fuel injectors or engine control system malfunction.
