I have a 97 Taurus with a 3.0L and it 120,000 miles on it and I replaced a hose and the thermostat and now I have no heat. I was told that the cooling system is air locked. How do I bleed the cooling system? Thank you in advance for your help!

With the engine cold remove the radiator cap, squeeze the upper radiator hose a few times while the engine warms. Once the water is circulating make sure you fill the system to the highest line on the reservoir, this is a revised instruction by Ford. Also the bypass hose now has a reducer made for it, it as the name impies, shrinks the diameter of the hose to produce more pressure to the heater!
