I have a 92 ford taurus 3.0 not sure of mileage. Trying to back out of driveway and went through snow bank and got stuck. Tried to get out and the car overheated and then it stalled out. And it will not start again. I thought it was the fuel pump but that is working just fine took it out and tested it. But put it in and the gas is not getting to the engine. I direct wired it to the battery and the car starts right up. Someone said it might be the fuel pump relay but I cannot find out where it is located to check it. Or is it a short in something from the snow since it was so high. I need help. I need my car. I know a little about cars but not a whole lot. Please help me figure out what the problem is.

The fuel pump relay, I believe, is located in the ccrm, which is usually mounted on top of the radiator support, ubder the sight shield which is the plastic piece with vacuum diagrams and various info printed on it. This piece was originally known as the integrated relaycontrol module. I think they changed the name to the constant control relay module, ccrm. Relays for fuel pump, a c and some other functions were contained in this module, which to the best of my knowledge is not user-repairable. I don't think individual pieces were replaceable, at least back then. Even though you can get into it and see the parts, I don't know about obtaining them. It's not a cheap part, maybe if it comes down to it, a junkyard may have it.
