2002 Ford Taurus 6 cyl

i have a 2002 ford taurus its been riding on 4cylinders instead of 6 since it ran hot 1 and two was misfiring replaced new thermostat antifreeze resivoir new hoses new battery new sparkplugs went got it check out dnt knw wat the gut did car dnt start anymore he put a coil pack on made my car stop running took 2 get it dignoses says computer is dead pay 4 another dignosis says not the computer pay ova 200 dollars for immobilizer but not guaranteed 2 start ford says it might b the computer can someone please help me out :~(

So the car orignally ran on the old coilpack? He replaced it, and it stopped running? 1st thing I would do is have the new coilpack replaced, and also replace all plugs, and wires. Verify that the firing order is correct. Ive seen coilpacks not work from autozone, or advanced auto. Start there.

Anything is possible, and if I were you, dont trust the mechanic who has been doing all this work. At this point, I cant tell you what will fix it, I recommend bringing it to an honorable garage. Without having this car in front of me, and seeing what has been tampered with, I cannot tell you for sure.
