2001 Ford Taurus fuse

Heater problem
2001 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles

I purchased a portable heater/defroster to be plugged into cigarette lighter. It keeps blowing fuse. My heater/defroster does not work and I tried to have this fixed, but it is too expensive.

Do you know what I can do? I want to first of all replace fuse, but cannot find fuse box. Secondly, if fuse keeps blowing do you have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Yes, the blowers work, but only cold air. AC works, but no heat or defrost

can you alter the direction of the blowers ...ie. from screeen to footwell ? .. but your not getting any hot air, just cold ? ... sounds like the heater core is blocked ..?
